Hint: It was fascinating!
Some travel adventures are just sightseeing. Others feel as if they’re stepping into a much older story. Visiting Altun Ha in Belize was definitely the latter. I have long wanted to see ruins from an ancient civilization. Altun Ha was my first—and it will not be my last!
The tour began in the most charmingly Belizean way possible, with our guide, Javier, letting us know that our group was lucky because the two guides we had were husband and wife. 😊He would start us off, and then his wife, Andrea, would add additional comments and information. I loved that immediately. It set the tone for the whole visit: informal, warm, funny, and full of personality.
